The GoblinAero will fit a large variety of people. How you determine fit is by measuring the rider’s X-seam (to see how to easily do this, visit this link. After measuring the X-seam, compare it to the large frame size variation of this vehicle. It’s frame size is adjustable to fit X-seams that range from 37-46” That is a large segment of the population. The frame size is adjusted merely by sliding the seat forward or rearward.

	12/01/08 Motor and Mount: It took about 3 weeks, but all development is now complete. Motors available: Honda 35cc or 50cc. Staton Drive gear box is standard. Standard gearing will allow travel at 30 mph on flat roadways. Optional gearing allows travel at 20 mph, but with lower gearing for easier travel up extreme grades. Comes with non-puncture tires!




	Easy access to the gas tank and oil well makes it easy to fill up at the gas station and maintain the engine. A fill-up is .28 gallons and costs around 50 cents... good for 30-40 miles!



	Our exclusive, custom machined drive shaft allows for a positive connection between the gear box and the powered wheel. This type of connection is originally the way that heavy duty trucks were manufactured.




			Extra wide wheel stance allows for a low center of gravity and excellent performance. It is still narrow enough to fit through doorways and cruise in bike lanes.

			During tests of this vehicle in city traffic, we’ve discovered that drivers give it plenty of room. It’s unusual appearance creates curiosity and awareness, greatly enhancing operator safety. It has been ridden to the top of Mt. Lemmon in Tucson, AZ, (9000 feet) from the valley (2500 feet). The GoblinAero went up effortlessly! It handled the mountain passes safely and offered a great deal of comfort. Hundreds of miles have already been put on the drive train with no problems. Very reliable. The gear box has been known to deliver over 50,000 miles of service. Braking is superb, using custom, over-sized 8” disc brakes.

Fairings: Development is now underway. Using a standard Honda GoldWing wind screen makes for easy replacement if it ever gets scratched or damaged. Standard motorcycle headlights and tail lights (with blinkers) will improve safety and driving comfort. The front fairing parts the air around the rider to stay warmer in the winter, cooler in the summer, and drier in the rain.

Now that the frame for the fairing is done, the fine shaping comes next... lots of sanding for a smooth finish!

The rear lockable trunk will hold 5 bags of groceries. It will be sculpted next.




		There’s still quite a bit of work to do, but the result will be a slick, smooth surface that will allow a GoblinAero to cut right through the air. Aside from increasing comfort, it’s green color will make a GoblinAero driver much more noticeable. Molds will be made soon that will allow for a professional, factory finish that will last for years to come.


	Priced at $5995, you can place your order today for an early Spring delivery. We recommend using the GoblinAero as a unlicensed motorized bicycle. This affords greater safety (lower speeds) and greater ease of use because of the ability to safely and legally use bicycle lanes and paths.




	What is all that stuff in the background?! They are hundreds of production molds at my rock waterfall company, PoolRock.com. I have mass produced fiberglass rock waterfalls for the swimming pool industry since 2001. The fairings for the GoblinAero will also be made from fiberglass.




	Hmm... the sculpture is starting to look like the drawing! I drew a grid onto particle board that was a scaled up version of a grid that I drew over the drawing at the top of the page. Then I matched up the lines by hand to copy the shape exactly to real-world size. I have made a minor change to the slope of the ‘nose’ to make the shape slightly more aerodynamic. Notice the gap in the bridge of the ‘nose’... it has been raised about 1 1/4” to lay the wind screen back a bit more.


	The next step is to skin over the wooden ‘wire frame’ with fiberglass and begin days of sanding and fine tuning.


	Skinning with fiberglass secures the shape and creates a strong support for the body putty that will be applied next. The corners of the particle board guides will be knocked off and glassed over as well. It’s about to get really dusty in the workshop!


	It’s nice to be able to see the shape. Fine detail work will dial in the symmetry and round edges at the corners, etc. This is really getting to be fun!


I trimmed excess fibers after the resin had partially cured, in a state like leather.		I used cellophane tape to bridge the wooden ribs on the nose. On the roof I didn’t. Notice the extra droop in the fiberglass. Other layers of ‘glass will go over the skin, but it will require extra body putty to fill in the dips. Hey, it looks like dimples on a golf ball... maybe I should leave them to make it go faster! Yes, I’m just kidding... too many fumes.



	This front view lets you start to imagine what it will look like coming down the road. The roof is designed to offer ample protection from the sun. With its speed sock and optional side windows in place, it should provide decent protection from the cold, rain, and sun.
